Trip to the Tail of the Dragon, TN, NC

We had a blast! A group and I made a trip to a place called the Tail of the Dragon, Deal's Gap on the boarder of Tennessee and North Carolina. We took off in a caravan 15 cars deep from the coast of the Carolinas. Drove for 6 hours until arriving at the base of the Dragon on the NC side, Fontana Village. From my stable we had 3 CRXs and a GSR, putting about 700 miles on each of them. W/ minimal issues/ only one breakdown.

This trip was utterly amazing. I am convinced that it is the most fun you can have on a public road.
here are some shots of the mountain!

I took my mom last summer in my s2k when they had the rockslide and the road was pretty much only open to people running it. was pretty dead. the experience was just incredible. Its a road everyone in the us should drive once. I plan on taking my local forum soon. it's 318racing.org for our area code. 11 miles 318 curves? the shirts make themselves
  • Wow! Beautiful area...beautiful cars. Very jealous!

Yeah guys, These pictures barely capture the sites and look-outs along the Gap.
Not to mention what the Blue Ridge Parkway has to offer.
And all the cars were runnin' hot this year. W/ some killer car setups...

Great pictures man, looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah man! That's right where I live. Some of the roads around here are straight out of a video game, it's unreal.
