Need a new gas fill tube before i blow up!

I can smell gas whenever i fill up my wagon with a full tank, just figure it was just an older car fault. The other day i happen to notice a huge puddle of gas under the vehicle and took it to the garage to put on the lift. It appears my filler neck is rusted out and has a leak when i fill it up. There is no honda oem part to replace this and was wondering suggestions to fix it? This is my daily driver and need to get fix immediatly before the world looses another wagon and or me :roll:

Ok, so i came back from the garage today and actually found out that it is the gas tank rusted. Rusted on top and bad enough that i could probally push it in with my finger....lol. So i am asking for immediate help! Does anyone know where i can get a new oem gas tank or maybe someone has a used one for sale? Please help a brother out!

Best bet would be to try the local junkyards. Any 88-91 wagon tank will work. Possibly even a sedan tank will fit, maybe someone will chime in with that answer.


Honda still shows the tank as available but a hefty $285 price tag

Thanks, i've been to 2 dif junk yards this past weekend and plan on hitting one up this coming weekend too. These wagons are hard to find as you may already know! :roll: i only founf one so far on my junk yard journeys and it was pretty much stripped clean by the time i got to it...lol. The oem price is pretty salty but if thats what it takes to keep my wagon alive, so be it! The search will continue, eventually i'll find the right deal!
