Multiple cluster issues.

Hey guys, my cluster has been acting up recently and it'd be nice to fix it. Any input is welcomed. So first off, I'm throwing a code 17 for my VSS, this would explain my speedo and odometers not working. But my heat gauge will say I'm off the charts and then in a split second it'll say it's cold like I just started the car. The car isn't changing heat that fast, so why is the gauge reading like this? My fuel needle never goes to full when I fill my car up, only about 3/4 of the way, and my tach will read that I'm turning 9k rpms when in reality I may only be hitting 5-6k rpms and this only happens when I hit WOT. Any ideas? It seems like there will be a few different routes to fix this, but in the end I'd like to continue using my original cluster. Thanks fellas.

Hrm, kind of different symptoms. I'll see if I can find someone with a spare ecu to try out. I also forgot to mention my left blinker is blinking fast but I have no bulbs out that would cause this. I'm going to try to get my friend to lend a hand getting a video tomorrow.

Follow code 17 procedures will probably solve your prob.Yel/Red wire from instrument cluster to ECU.It's also common to the other gauges. It's either open or shorted.

Yea my cluster is acting up too. The topic 3rd4ac posted is mine. Not my video, but my cluster is doing the EXACT samething. I have checked every ground i could find, and still no luck. I even tried leaving one ground unbolted to replicate the issue, and i cant. It still only does it when the cluster gets warm. Josh, sounds like you and I need new clusters lolol
