Question for lowered RT4WD owners...(axles)

I know there are a lot of you out there with lowered RT4WD's. My question is, from personal experiences, how badly do you chew up rear axles?

I know in my del sol, lowered 2.5 inches, I used to go through a set of front axles about every year and a half.

The fronts, I'm not so worried about, but the rears have me worried, since they are harder to come by.

Please if anyone has any input, share! Personal experiences only, no theories, opinions or guesses.

Thanks!

  • Mine was lowered considerably and my wife beat the crap out of the little wagon everyday and we never had any issues. I bought an extra set thinking I might need them but she drove a pretty harsh stretch of road everyday (road was trashed) and they were holding strong when I pulled it into the garage for tear down.
  • no issues.

    lowered, but not dumped
  • Yeah I always imagined that since the rear wheels don't turn, they wouldn't be subjected to the crazy angles that the fronts can get.

    Anybody else?

Oh, absolutetinting, how long have you been riding low?
