If you have the cash I recommend a hand vacuum pump. When I replaced mine, the groves worn in the old push rod (not sure what the technical name is) that goes into the MC damaged the seal on the new MC and caused a lot of brake fluid leak into my brake booster. It was a mess! If I had bleed it with a vacuum pump instead of pumping the pedal I could have avoided this problem.
I got a mechanic up the road to swap it out, didn't cost me the earth. Partmaster also did a new master cylinder for $120, whereas Repco said $260 haha.
But now it won't start, zero spark. Guess it's new dizzy time also.

You'll need to bleed the system. So do it before installing the MC others after. This makes it a great time to flush the brake system w/new brake fluid.
  Good time to upgrade to a larger MC like the one from the 4WD Civic Shuttle(plug n play).or a 15/16" Honda MC.
