Is starter wagon specific?

Anyone know if the starter for an 88-91 1.5L 2WD wagon with a stock engine is "wagon specific" or can I use a Civic hatch starter ??
My folks are vacationing in Yuma, AZ, and I want them to pick up a starter for me before they come back in April.
I want to make sure they get the right one 'cause I won't be able to return the part if they happen to get the wrong one.
Thx !!

Okay, my local boneyard has a starter for a '90 Honda Civic 1.5L manual transmission for $40.
Or I can go to Canuck Tire and get a remanufactured with a 3-year warranty for $170 (that includes a $55 credit for the old starter).
Things are really starting to come together on this project. The new Exedy clutch will be delivered next week from Florida and the used transmission from Quarters is in storage. I've spoken to my mechanic and we will be discussing labour costs next week.
I already have the new rear shocks and the new bushings for the rear control arms. Also, the rust free hatch I got from Abbey has been in storage since last August, waiting to be installed.
My brother has offered the use of his spacious garage, his air tools and his expertise for replacing the rear shocks and installing the rear hatch.
I'm so excited... and looking forward to driving the wagon again !!!!!
