Dpfi to Mpfi HELP!!!

So I'm doing my Multi port swap and I'm on the part of wiring the wires to the ecu. Well it says to move pins c1 and c2 to b10 and b12. But on my b harness plug 12 has a white/red wire pined to it and b9 and b10 an the ones that are open. So my question is WTF do I do!!
And I tried searching it already.
TIA!

Are you using the standard harness or trying to use another one?
Use the standard harness and run c1 and c2 to the dizzy. c1 goes to the blue/green wire on the dizzy and c2 goes to the blue/yellow wire on the dizzy.
a3 and a7 go out to the engine bay. a3 goes to injector #2(red wire) and a7 goes to injector #4(yellow wire).
It has been covered, I helped another member on his build thread with this awhile ago.
HCW is where i got my info for the dpfi to mpfi swap.
  • I'm using the stock harness and I know about the new injector wires and where they go. My question is why is b12 not open on my ecu harness, is this because it's a wagon? This is where I'm stuck. Everything else is all wired up. Just waiting on this.

b12 should be an all white wire for your crank angle sensor. It should be wired up, won't be because it's a wagon. I went outside and checked mine and mine is soldered in to an all white wire.
b9 should be open and b10 should be orange for the crank angle sensor
At least that's what this chart says

    Good luck hope this helps
  • Ya I understand the ecu pin out. that's why this is confusing me. i took pics of the connector so i could show you what I'm talking about.

    Connector B

Pin B12 is not open as you can see.

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.
  • And remember this is still Dpfi wiring. C1 & C2 still have the orange and white wire pined in. i haven't depinned because B12 is confusing me.

If I remember correctly, there are some models that have a "dead" wire already pinned into b12. it doesn't go do anything. I'll try to remember to doube check that for you though. If I remember correctly I had one like this a couple years ago, I just cut the wire and used it, never had any problems.

^^ correct^^. Sometimes you'll find a wire at B12, just disregard it, or use the pin. It's unused on the dpfi.

The easiest way is to depin C1 and move it to B 10, depin C2 and move it to B12, Then add pins/wires back to C1&C2 for the Cyl Position sensor.

Add the 2 injector wires and you're good.

hondaswap.com has been a huge help to me, there are several different swap how-tos stickied there.
  • Yes I finally found out about the "dead wire" after frantically searching and calling all the "Honda homies" lol
But thanks for all the help, you guys are really a big help. Hopefully my y8 mini me will be done tomorrow. Then my wagon is one step closer to wagon of the month ;)
