obd0 dpfi distributor plug conversion?

I've got an obd1 b18a1 swapped in my wagovan and need some help with wiring. I have a 5 wire dizzy plug on my dx harness, and the colors are the following

Orange/blue
White/blue
Orange
Thin white
Thick white

I have a 7 wire obd1 plug, and I know I have to add 2 extra wires from my ecu but cant seem to find any information on this process, can anyone help me out on this?

I found this info on the internet no problem.
You'll need to run your wires rom the ecu to the dizzy. ecu C1 pin to blue/green wire and ecu C2 pin to blue/yellow wire on the dizzy.
As for OBD1 I'm not sure but those are the two wires you run for DPFI to MPFI.
  • Thank's for the advice I figured it out. Got it running decently enough to drive and it was acting funny. The cel would flash on and off and the car would hesitate and pop, limped home and it died. Now I have no spark. I triple checked all my wiring and nothing, tested another distributor and still nothing. Any suggestions?
  • It's a 93 b18a1 if that helps. I cant seem to figure out why it would just lose spark at the end of a drive. All my grounds are hooked up properly and I know I wired the distributor correctly because I was driving it. All I can think of is maybe ecu went bad, but I know that doesn't happen too often.

how did u convert the plug?

if u didnt solder it, and just twisted it together, look there.

if u soldered it, double check your solder connections.

if u re-pinned it, double check the pins arent loose
  • I wired as follows:

    Depinned orange c1 & moved to b10
    Depinned white c2 & moved to b12

Ran c1 to blue/green dizzy wire
Ran c2 to blue/yellow dizzy wire

Matched up the rest aside from the fat white wire (ignitor) which went to the yellow/green wire

Twisted everything at first to make sure it worked, and it did. So then I took the time to solder/heatshrink eveything and it fired up again. Drove it, parked it, now no spark...

Here's some pics if anyone's interested, btw it hasn't been cleaned up in months.
