Starter problem?

My 88 wagon was overheating. found out I had a hole in the heater core hose and the radiator fan wasn't running. I got those fixed and replacing the hose I had to take off the distributer. After getting everything back together I try to turn my car over and it wont start. I have power, the starter looks fairly new and the starter fuse is good. I can push start it and it runs fine, did the starter go bad or could it be another problem?

    Check to see if the small wire is unplugged from the starter solenoid. It can get knocked loose easily.
