Here's the link for the 1988-1991 Service manual:
    http://hondatech.info/search/88/civic//manual/
  • I got it, but I don't see anything Wagon-related in it. It's all CRX, as far as I can tell.
  • Found one on there for the shuttle but in Russian, so don't forget: You must think In Russian

It's a big download. Dunno how useful it's going to be, but it's got pretty pictures :?
  • Even the CRX pictures were helpful. Looks like the 2WD transmission used on other Hondas are identical to the 4WD tranny, with the transfer case removed.
  • I've got one.
I'm ready to split the spine and scan it in but there is a fairly major snag.

    Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

    Yep, it's in German
Do any of our German buddies have a workshop manual in English and would like to swap with me for this one?
TBH it looks like it's never been used in a greasy garage type environment.

If no one has it then I'll scan it up anyway.
perhaps some enterprising soul can run the PDF through some translation software ?!?!
  • I will trade you for mine since you want to scan this in for everyone.

As a translator (French to English and English to French) with almost 20 years experience, I urge you NOT to use any of the translation software freely available on the Web. It is only good for very simple translations of short sentences. Translating a workshop manual will yield some hilarious and dangerously incorrect results

Translators have been promised all manners of translation software over the last 20 years and I have to admit there is nothing on the market right now, free or otherwise, that can replace a human translator that has been trained to pick up on the subtleties of language.

The best software currently available still delivers a product that works best for repetitive translations (ex. annual reports, weather reports and such) and still needs a translator to pick up the mistakes and validate all translations.

    Cheers !!

you are very right about that, lalunette. i have used one before and sent a sentence to my cousin who lives in switzerland and he had no idea wtf it said hahaha.

Computer translators do not understand context.

Hence why you get results like "the cutter muffler that attaches above" for "twin outlet exhaust".
  • lalunette: I know a German guy in the UK but I expect it would be a long time for him to do it.
I totally agree with you, I see google struggling with the 25character long German technical words

Taking yahoo Japan auctions and running them through a Korean translator give hilarious results (like the Japanese ones aint funny enough).

    Pacifier: Legend!!
PM me your address and I'll send it over to you and vice versa.

We have a very nice Canon all in one here which has a massive feeder hopper and will automatically make PDF's over the network.
Should then be able to run it through some OCR to make it searchable and water mark it so no one tries selling it on ebay.

I've snagged a Haynes manual from the bay too.

    Me is legend whyfor?
  • I meant ragenasian

But you're probably a legend anyway

    From: viewtopic.php?t=3266

    This arrived this morning.
Quick look over it, it's pretty 3g biased, but I'll rip it down and scan it up anyway. Probs take a couple of weeks learning the scanner's "personality"
  • Yeah sorry everyone. I have been seriously sick and the wife was hospitalized or the manual would have already been in Nominous's hands. I would like a PDF manual to be available to everyone who can't get their hands on one so I will be sending a Full 1989 FActory manual to Nominous so he can scan it. Hopefully I will be able to send it off late this week or next week.
  • No rush dude. I've got this one to keep me occupied for now
You've got more important things to think about.
  • i just got the 1991 wagon helm service manual for my Bday from my GF so if you guys need anything scanned let me know!!!

im so happy i have one now!

PS i also have the 1995 civic helm service manual.

  • HRspecHRspec Band Wagon
Been trying to find a manual on the wagon and cant find one on the site or spoonhonda or hondatech, im more interested in the intrac system specifically, does anyone have one or a link. I have found a few images from nominous that were posted but looking for the full manual, many thanks.
  • Does anyone know if this one is any good. I've ordered the electrical specific one they offer and should be here in a couple of days. I already got the Haynes one.

    any update on this?
    wagon specific online manual.
  • The factory manuals are easily found on Egay. I bought all of mine for under 30 bucks (not the crappy autozone manuals).
  • sometimesidosometimesido New Wagonist
ah like the one with blue cover?
I found a couple for 55 bucks which is about the same price as Helms manual brand new...

Nar it's a free for all, no sign up needed.
Just giving back to the community - feel the love.

I've added a new manual which I think quite a lot of you will like.
Right click and download, it's 4Mb:

If there are any manuals which are not available and you might like, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I'm not sure the civic section has everything (more shuttle info & intrac?) but it's all I can find...
  • Nice, will make sure to subscribe.
  • Oh I've realised I forgot about the German one.
Well, I'll go looking for it. I should be able to get it re-issued in English now, once I find the damn part number from it and assuming it isn't one of the ones already posted up.
