Front Marker Light to Driving Light mod?

Has anybody replaced the bulbs (194) in the front marker light with bright LED versions in an effort to throw more light onto the road ahead? I'd like to add like to add light without adding extra fixtures to the front of the car.

None of the little wedge bulb LEDs are very bright. They can't illuminate anything. I have a Saab with small 194/168 bulbs in the headlights that come on with the parking lights. I've tried a bunch of different LEDs in there, but none will light up much of anything outside of the car. They definitely don't add anything to what the headlights put out. In my wagon, I put a pair of Philips Bluevision bulbs in the sidemarkers. You can see a little bit of a blue tinge to them when they're off, but they light up nice and white. They're just standard 5 watt bulbs, so they don't light up much of anything, either.

your better off redoing the front bumper lights and adapting those to a set of driving lights then the corner lights

Yeah, it's a pretty limited fixture. I was also thinking along the lines of daytime running lights since they stay on (don't blink of flash) whenever the "parking lights" are on.

I'll have to take another look at the front bumper lights.

sir I have replaced all my bulbs with LEDs.....

as far as being bright .... well u get what u buy ....

ive also modified my bumper lens to parking super white LEDs and then they change amber and flash for turn signals..

Have u ever seen a dual color LED so small....... perfect for the CUSTOM Clear corner folks ... ( i will b testing a set as soon as the mail man brings them.. )

Ok so one way or another these will b installed n the turn signal portion of my custom Jdm combo Usdm blacked back clear front corners ....

Scrappy is a work n progress ...

I meant to ask: where did you install the "spider" lights?

I installed them n the outer 2 tail\brake lights and installed the braker flashers in the other two if u like\want spiders I know where u can get a sligjtly used pair from for a fair price ... Hint hint ... I want to flash my outers .....
