Car starting up very weak like

ok so somehow my power wire became loose that is connected to starter i fixed it then my starter somehow messed up and would not disengage got a new starter threw it in and when i crank the car over it will start just sounds very weak.... i know the car needs to be re-timed just havent had the time maybe here in a couple of days. what could be the problem. timing? or ????? something

    the engine sounds weak when it starts or the starter motor sounds weak?
    if that latter, it sounds like you have an electrical issue.. grounds, for example

    im pretty sure its the starter motor because it didnt really sound that way untill i put the new one in

    Check the grounds
    Check main power wire nut to starter is tight.
    Check the starter wire slides on tightly.
    Check for corrosion on parts.
    PUt a voltmeter and check voltage at starter...use different ground point, battery, trans, body to see if number changes.
    Check your battery is good and the alt is putting ou 13.7 to 14.4 volts.

    cool i will have to check the voltage bro cause everything is good no corrosion pretty clean under the hood. thannks
