F22b1 swap?

What's up guys.. I see the most common swap for an RT is the zc swap, but has anybody done an f22b1 swap out of a 94-97 accord? 2.2 single came vtec. I've seen it done to An EG hatch, and a crx. I don't see why it wouldn't work if used with an f2d kit, unless the wagons have a much tighter engine bay. Anybody have experience with this?

Are you putting this into a FWD wagon? Regardless, you'll probably have to modify your hood for it to be able to shut since the F2D kit rotates the engine toward the front of the car.

Would be going into an RT4wd.. I wonder how high it would put the engine, if just hood spacers at the mounting points would do..

I actually just mated a f22 block to a AWD tranny about 3 hours ago.

You will have to clearance the oil pan about 1 inch to clear.

Also The intermediate shaft will have to need a mounting bracket fabbed up just like the h2b

As far as hood clearance you dont have to worry about it since its about 2 inches higher then hatches.

Might check the last few pages of this out. F22 already in and should give you some good idea on what it takes.

Thanks for the link! I don't see why the f22b1 is seen as a throw away engine.. Decent torque & hp numbers, readily available on the Cheap at junkyards, and good fuel economy in the accords. Seems like this engine in an RT would maintain good economy, but give it the extra power they need. Single Slammers FTW
