Rear door help please

So, the previous owner had put a ned rear door on my car. I have reason to believe it's one for the model a year prior to mine (mine is a '91, but it's somehow registered as a '90). So now it rattles like i got gnomes with hammers in my spare tire bay. The hook just doesn't seem to fit in the latch as well as it should. Im thinking just foam inserts to keep it from shaking back and forth, at least until i get a new door. Any other suggestions?

Try adjusting the striker loop on the hatch, or screwing the lower corner bumper stops out a bit.
