whats the material called that the cars hoses made off?

i wanted to get some and make custom shapes but i need to know what to ask for when looking for the item.

i need to know what the hoses that they are called? the hoses that run our coolant and also the stock air intake plastic pieces.

I always thought the coolant hoses were mostly rubber. I just replaced a steel bit from the back of a HB, though. I was cursing Honda for not making it a rubber hose, like every other manufacturer in the world. Stupid auto engineers.

The air intake is almost certainly PVC. It's the plastic of choice for many cheap, lightweight, rigid applications.

I see a lot of silicone hoses in the aftermarket...but more commonly rubber.
