Swapping climate controls and stereo.

Ive been told this can be done, but I havnet tried it. I plan on trying this once I get a DVD player for the wagon so its a little higher up on the dash, hence making it easier to view.

Has anyone here tried this?

    oh you mean trading places for the two, yeah sure it can be done but it depends on the control system. If you goto the crx Si type actuated controller all you may need to do is elongate some wiring. With the wireactuated hvac controls you may have to have some hard push/pull wiring modified.
    As far as the radio wiring... you would probably extend the radio wiring. The antenna may have enough length since its coming up.

    Exactaly. Ive mean meaning to ask that question too. I was wondering if you can use the CRX soft touch controls without rewiring. So your telling me its a plug and play swap? Or do you have to rewire? What all is involved in that swap, cause I wanna swap since mine is broken. Knowing you though, you prolly have a write-up posted somewhere. I just havent stumbled upon it yet.

    Yeah Akiraboy has a CRX/Wagon hybrid dash in his Wagon, mine is the stock dash and centre console which is slightly different in the JDM models.

    I switched mine, the post is here somehwere but I really want to do a Si climate conversion too. I have thought bout flippin the spots too, not a bad idea really

    i took a good look at the stereo and climate control today and was thinking of switching them around too. i unscrewed climate and the stereo to do a bluetooth upgrade to the car and found that the climate doesnt have enough wire behind it to move easily. i would assume that we would need to extend it out. so at this point unless there is a simple way of doing it, ill just have to wait.
