4wd transmisson blew on the freeway

hey,

my sister took my 4wd on the freeway yesterday and she said that there was a loud " boom" and the transmisson just gave out. but now it seems the transmission locked up it the front. there is no possible way i can push the car even when it is a neutral. is there any help i can get. i would definately appriciate it.

    Sounds like either the diff blew or the gears seized to the shaft, not allowing neutral to move freely. Without lying under the car to examine the patient, we are just guessing here though.

    i looked under the car, i couldnt see anything wrong on the outside of the transmission. it must be internal problems. but the car revs only to 3k rpm. that is all i can tell.

    Well like I said, we're just guessing. You need to start taking things apart, or take the car to someone that knows what to do.
