DC seats in my wagon. super easy!

So the time finally came to put the DC seats in my wagon. I was dreading all the work that was gonna go into it.
Here's how i did it. (mad props to bam bam for his swap thread, i took a lot of knowledge from there and then came up with some of my own ideas).

First problem is that a wagon seat rail is really tall on the door side rail. This is because the mounting points on the outside rail on the wagon are way lower that the mounting points on a teg. If you try to use the integra rails you'll probably fall out the door first time you open it because of the angle you'll be sitting on. So you'll need to use that outside rail from your wagon seat. Stick with the inside rail off the teg seat though.
As far as the teg seat, go ahead and pull off the outside seat rail.

You need a two pieces of 12 1/2" x 3" steel. I used 1/4" thick. Your gonna weld that to the top of the wagon outer rail as such.

Here's my piece welded in. Note that the piece is 4" wide instead of 3". That's only because I had some 4" laying around and the oxygen bottle on my torch is empty right now. The extra 1" in hanging on the underside of the seat. It will probably stay like that forever! :D

Once you get that welded in your gonna need to enlarge the front mounting hole on the teg bracket so that everything will line up.

Now bolt the modified wagon outer rail to the car. Once you've got that in tight put the seat in and install the inner bolt through the front mount on the teg seat.
the outer (lack of rail) on the teg seat should now be resting nicely on that "shelf" that you welded onto the outer wagon rail.
Now while sitting in the seat you should be able to swivel the seat slightly because it's only bolted down by that front inner bolt. Once you get it straight take a vice grip or some type of clamp to hold it in alignment.

Go ahead and start tacking the rail to the seat and visa versa. Your almost done!
Oh yeah... quick note. Make sure that both the teg rail and the wagon rail are at a similar adjustment as far as forward and back. If not you'll end up with a seat that you can only a few inches... that would suck now wouldn't it!

Once you have that tacked together fairly well pull the seat back out, and weld everything up real proper like.

Now as far as the rear inside seat bolt... I'm still working on that. I have a few ideas but I'm still working on coming up with the best solution. For now (and maybe a few weeks), the three bolts hold the seats in there really well. I'll post up what I come up with on that problem.

Semi finished product.

Disclaimer* -In the event of a crash, if your welding sucks and seat coming free could seriously injure you. If you aren't confident in your welding get help from somebody that knows what they're doing.

Disclimer 2* -while tacking the seat in place, pay attention as not to catch your vehicle on fire or damage anything due to all the welding sparks etc!

cool man, how much higher/lower do they sit than the wagon seats?

I'd have to guess they sit about a inch lower than the wagon seats. It took me roughly 45 min to an hour to do each seat.
Sorry for the lag on response. Haven't logged in a while.

much better idea to just tack it up in the car, then uninstall the seats and rails and weld it outside the car! :)
