D15 stroker idea

i was looking at a set of d15 rods and had a idea. because the journal is smaller than a d16 you can have the d16 crank offset ground 1.5mm to match the d15 rods and the d15 block bored to 76mm and use d17 pistons and end up with a 1660 cc engine for your sleeper . i know you can put a d17 crank in a d16 this is just a diffrent idea i called a crank shop they said it is about 300 bucks to grind and hardened a crank and if you build a engine right you need to have the crank atleast polished and thats a 100 bucks alone so for 200 more you get 1.5mm more stroke

do it, it sounds pretty cool.

interesting fact, bisis 10 second D series was a D15 DESTROKED and bored to 78mm!

that would be something different and unique! and in my opinion all systems a go! lol now my opinion doesnt matter, but alot of personal pride can be had with a setup like that. if i remember correctly some of the d16 to d17 stroker guys had issues with high rpms being unsafe, but yours sounds like ur stroke ratio maybe a little better. what would your compression be at?
