Edm/jdm rear tail lights

just installed mine.

i noticed that the corner lamp doesn't have a parking light. is it okay not to have the corner light on.

if so, can i connect it to the rear tail light as a constant w/o melting the plastic?

i just don't want to deal with the law out here.

thanks.

What do you mean "parking light"?
When the park lights are on the tail light should be on, when you brake then the brake light activates.

The rear doesnt have a separate "park light"
  • just pull out the bulb

    thats what I did

    thats what i did already.

i was just wonder if i could wire up the turn signal with the parking light without melting the housing?

like a side marker constantly on, but flashes when turn signals activate.

i think thats illegal in the rear, i could be wrong, you would confuse people behind you if their constantly on.

the whole point (and only difference between these and USDM) JDM/EDM taillights is that it gets rid of that side "parking" light.. i just used the JDM/EDM wiring harness on mine.. but i've seen others leaving it unplugged without a bulb in it. it wont hurt anything.

if you think the law is going to interfere, well, then you better go back to USDM

this is an absurdly horrid idea, and very much illegal.

I originally did that with mine. And it did look cool. And passed many cops without an issues. But it does give them an opening to pull you over. And if you are speeding, its pretty easy to catch up to the car with amber lights in the rear. My reason for undoing it. If you choose to do so, use your original harness and use a dual fillament bulb like your brake light. And fyi, you wont burn anything, otherwise they would already be melted. thats if you drive at all at night
