Car puttering at 3000k and over

hey, i have a 1990 honda civic wagon with a b16a converted to an obd1. i took my car from long beach to arizona this past weekend. it was running fine going to arizona until i was 2 exit away from my destination. it just gave out on me. i took it to pep boys to get a diagnostic check. they said it was the cap n rotor. so i replaced that and then it still wouldnt start up. after that they said it was the wiring issue. they said it takes about 30 min and they can also fix that problem. so i let them work on it it because time was not on my side. i was just there for a wedding. they actually got the car running and it felt like how it was before. when i was driving home to long beach, the car loss power over 3000k. as of now it still has the same problem. im in stuck mode.

thanks for all hep i can get.

check your ECU for codes anyway, as sometimes there are some codes without the CEL coming on.
