Alternating turn signals?

Ok, so my last wagon had alternating turn signals. The side marker, and the bumper light would alternate when the blinker was on. It was a wogovan though. Is that something that was wagovan specific, or was that something the previous owner rigged up? I want to do that with my current wagon. If anyone knows anything about this, that would be sweet! Thanks! :)

that's standard across the entire Honda spectrum of those years (USDM and most likely CDM as well), and continued for quite a while..

Really? I've had 6 Honda's and the wagovan was the only one that did that. I wonder why my 90 wagon doesn't do this either. I'm going to have to dig in and figure this out. By those years, you mean EF's? 88-91?

FWIW, all the Hondas i have ever had have done it (EF,DA,EE) but only when the lights are on.

what's FWIW? I just checked my blinkers in the dark with the lights on, and I only have them on the bumper. Actually the amber part of the side markers doesn't light up at all. Is it suppose to? I'm going to see what's up with it tomorrow. Maybe it just needs bulbs or something.

Haha, well the bulbs were just burn out. Never had bulbs burn out on both sides lol. And they alternate. F'n sweet.

Ok, so now can anyone tell me how to know when your alternator belt is at the right tightness? How much play should be there? I put a new one on when we changed timing belt, and there is a squeal every time I start my car. It's only for a second, but it's annoying, and my rear brakes already squeal when pressed or depressed LOL. I'll get to that one here soon too.
  • if the belt squeals it's too loose. I think a half inch of deflection is standard, or thereabouts.
