Just a little update what's going on with the wagon, I recently bought a Thule Excursion Roof Box off of craigslist for a really cheap price. Here's what the wagon looks like during the Automass Rd 3.
I have a question for you. How do the cylinders ride? I'm considering going air on my wagon, but a lot of people say cylinders ride like junk. And I know accumulators are an option, but I want to hear the opinion of someone with cylinders on a wagon. I saw a video of you on youtube, going down the interstate, but it just seemed like you were bouncing all over the place, and that's definitely not what I wanted.
The video you saw was not on air. I have the coilovers maxed out back then that's why it's bouncy. I don't have a video of the wagon on air running on the road yet.
Air cylinders is only good when half raised if you want a comfortable ride(it feels like running on stock suspension) in my own experience. It's too stiff when its all the way up(air is compressed) or down(no air play) since there's no play of the piston and air inside the cylinder.
Awesome thanks! I'll definitely be looking on CL for some cylinders now. What size valves and tank do you have?
No problem, I've got like 2 people selling kits on CL around here in chicago. One is like was $450 and now he's just selling it for $275 used and the other one is brand new never been used he said 1k brand new only selling it for $400. Wish you're just here so you can have that air kit. Im running 3/8 npt and 10gal. tank.
Btw guys I've just ordered today a pair of lowered forks at Airbagit for $75 and $5 for the hardaware not shipped, got the idea to lower my car 1inch from a member here Carlos e. We have same cylinder setup and he told me those fork from Airbagit has an inch shorter than our oem forks, i guess that helps me get a little bit low.
I will post pictures of it when its here(carlos e has it on his thread). I'm excited what my wagon gonna look like after these forks installed, i know im low but i need more low! :smug:

joel wont fit if you buy airlift struts. you'll need to buy air cylinders instead
Yes it will, actually i have those on my previous setup but unluckily i blew them. LOL
I prefer cylinders, gives you enough space unlike those struts from airlift, plus they're expensive compare to $400+ set of air cylinders.

What's so bad about Airlift struts? What space do they take up, that the cylinders don't?

I just don't like bags from them because when air is out it'll expand the bag and will cover all the free space around it and that makes you cannot run/drive when air is out it will scrape the bag or the rubber surface around the arm that holds the upper control arms.
Unlike Cylinders they don't expand so no scraping.
I've just received the parts from Airbagit sooner than i expected but unfortunately they sent me the wrong one. LOL
I called the guy Yuri who i talked when i order and waiting on his call to know what's going on.
Got an email from the guy at airbagit and it says, It seems we have discontinued this fork. So i guess that's about it, told them i just want my refund.

What a bummer!
Find someone who can shorten your stock ones! Should work just the same.

I checked the tracking number on my lowered forks and it will be here on Thursday.

Looks good..
I had hydraulics on a CRX was fun and nice when facing speed bumps..
i got the kit from a 92 EG and its on my 90 wagon
I'll try to get pics this weekend. Thanks!
Yeah speed bumps they suck if you have air or hydraulics lol!
Oh that's exactly my previous setup, from 92-00 kit.

That was my idea 2 years ago, decided not to do that since i don't think that's safe.
All the way Up
Half Raised (suggested driving height)
All the way down (no air)
