(warning big pics)New From San Diego

Hows it going, names james. I bought my wagon a few months ago and just decided to introduce myself. I got into hondas about three years ago when i purchased my ep3 aka 02-05 civic si and the modding hasnt stopped, i think i need to have an intervention... haha so i decided i didnt want to rely on the car anymore and i needed a dd. I wanted to get something 4 wheel drive since i snowboard alot but nothing crazy and it needed to be cheap, maybe a fixer upper. Then my buddy who is into ef's showed me what a rt wagon was... and it just so happened the next day i found one that i thought i might like. 2nd owner and he was a doctor... but no picture on the ad. and he was past LA so atleast a 3 hour drive... needless to say we know where this is going... 120 plus some change on the odometer, clutch was not fully engaging (it was a bitch to get home), a/c was not working, no passenger mirror, no radio and needed tires fairly soon... but the good was it sat in his garage for years undriven all because his mechanic told him he needed a clutch so he baught a suv and the wago just sat. the interior was immaculant other then a single little tear on the driver side seat, the exterior has two pinky size door dings but there very light and barely noticeable... the clutch wasnt bad it was just a broken pedal so as u steped down u couldnt get enough leverage to engage the clutch, went to the junk yard new pedal assemly for $50, passenger side mirror $5, the ac blows ice cold(the switch on the dash was bad, my friend had an extra from his ef crap) needless to say it was a steal, $1300. so on with some pics
the day after i bought it

a must buy...

while i was at the junk yard getting the mirror and pedal assembly i thought it might be a good idea to get all this since there was only one wago in the yard, compared to hundreds of ef's
started to clean, the rear diff. done

how she sits right now(had to paint the steelies, looks like a damn grand ma's car with those 13's, about to get some 15x7 track r's and a d16 vtec in the next month or two, window visors are on there way

heres the other money bucket

k24a2 and some goodies

in the process of swapping

hope to meet some fellow wagoneers sometime!

Good looking wagon you got there.
thank you!
 haha
honestly couldnt even believe what i saw, when i saw it the first time. Granted theres always a trade off, i get to go through and replace pretty much everything thats rubber, due to all the time it sat the belts are all cracked and same with most of the hoses, but thats right up my ally.already replaced the clutch(old one was still good, just had no idea), pilot bearing, throw out, pressure plate and flywheel. replaced all coolant lines few weeks ago. ALL new belts arrived last friday along with thermostat, water pump and belt tensioner and some window visors. I love this car!Its like shopping at the 99c store compared to k series.
I felt the same way when I went to a wagon compared to an integra!
nice EP3.
I have a 05 Blue EP3 as well.
Is the K24 swap done? Does it feel like a different car?
Wagon looks super clean, can't wait to see the progress.
so on with the UPDATE!!
So you think the water pump might be bad? hahaha
The wheel bearings are starting to "hum" so i am changing those while i do the water pump, thermo, tensioner spring, and the belts
So can you guess which one got the axel nut off? i swear the axel nut was lock tighted spot welded and he-manned on haha
the rest of the bar that u cant see is like 5 foot long haha
So i dont have 300-500 dollars to spend on a bull bar so i decided im going to fab one up for myself, being that the company i work for has a tube bender and i have everything else...
this picture and a few others off this site are really all i have to go off of... so if anyone has some measurements for me thad be flipp'n awesome, if not within the next few days then im just going to do it as close as i can get it to the pictures...
The drilled plates are the acuall mounting plates i fab'd up and i am going to use, the flat bar and tube was for mocking purposes only
This was just for mocking up purposes so i could figure out where i want everything since i dont have any measurements to go off of...
Ive had the k24 going on 3 years as my DD, and night and day difference... 1st gears retarded, 2nds not much better and third seems like it never ends... 2nd gear goes to 72mph @ 8100 rpm
im definitally down, anyone going to the eibach meet this weekend up in orange county/LA?
