dont know if this will help but this is a reference to your tire dilemma
and i purchased a front camber kit thinking i was gonna need one for my 15x8.25 +15 but i didnt end up needing it. idk how low you plan on running but the lower you go the more you will camber on your own, so im sure you can fit your wheels without a camber kit unless you are going for the cambered out look
^^this is how it sat after fender rolling and pulling, hope this helped
these are 15x8 0 offset
with 175/45 15 nexens i believe
this is the most stretch i would run
on a side note i love the the interior lights came out, ive been doing research on which bulbs to use and stuff because i also want the license plate bulbs changed so seeing you do it gets me motivated to get it done!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand on another side note bttf is my favorite movie trilogy of all time man!!!!...i used to say my car was a delorean because my faded gray paint kinda sorta resembled the stainless steel finish of the time machine!! lol...tattoo is sick too, your a die hard and im glad we got some fellow wagon/bttf fans on here...."now lets see if these bastards can do 90!!"
Everything looks great man! We should have a local meet with a few of the guys near by. Maybe by that lighthouse? lol
Yeah man, that'd be fun. I'm down. And plus that'd mean I could grab a beer from Diamond Knot, and I'm am always down with that. You were actually one of my inspirations to get a cargo rack, so thanks for that.

Well that makes me happy that I didn't buy a front camber kit yet. I don't like the super cambered look, I actually like wheels more straight up and down and am hoping I an get mine to fit like that. Thank you very much for the pictures/examples you provided. I'll be putting my coilovers on tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. I am pretty sure that I am going to go with Toyo Proxes T1R in 195/45r15 as I love the way they look in every picture I see of them. I love the rim protection lip they have on them which helps to cover rim lip poke. Found a set for $320 shipped online and just have to find a shop that will stretch them onto my wheels. So far all the shops I've called tell me it's not possible, but I know it is. It's funny the lectures they give me... And I'm not even going for 165/45 or anything crazy like that lol. I thought about 175/50 Nexens but they don't cover the lip of the wheel as much as I'd like them too. Mosdefbee has those tires on the same wheels as me and I wasn't super hot about the lip poke on em (although I love his wagon overall). I was thinking about changing my license plate bulbs as well, but just want to make sure I don't blind someone behind me if I do it. I've been loving the new overhead LEDs...bright as shiz...although a little blue for my taste. Think I'll throw a Rosco Gel in there to warm it up a bit. And by the way, I rocked 90 MPH all the way home tonight from dinner in honor of BTTF. GREAT SCOTT!!
Haha...yea man i hate how ppl (mostly old timers) give lectures on how what we're doing is wrong. You can most definitely fit that tire size onto an 8inch rim. I like how the 195/50 sit on my 8.25inch rims but I want a little more stretch so once these tires waste I will be buying 175/50 and run spacers and possibly camber kits all around. But hopefully by then I will try and get an air ride setup going which is my ultimate goal for the car. but if you like the straight up and down look maybe you do need a camber kit to get it back to specs (which is what they're for in the first place)....im interested in seeing how your setup comes out though, hopefully your happy with the results.

Man I'd love a set of airbag to roll on! I'm off to go get these coilovers on right now so wish me luck!
I have a muffler for you here in Nor Cal, when you're ready. Actually I have the whole resonator pipe from the cat back too.
Your wagon rocks bro. Blue wagons are the best!
Thanks man, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I was thinking about trying to reroute the exhaust above the rear LCA's, possibly using the rear drive channel so I can get a little more underside clearance. Whatcha want for your muffler?
Great Success!! Got the coilovers on. Realized the 10kg springs for the rear were longer than all of the others (6kg, 7kg, 8kg) which made for less travel without a spring compressor which we didn't have, and it was really hard to screw the perches up the coilover pushing against that 10kg spring. So in the end I just ended up going with 8kg fronts and 7kg rears instead of the planned 8kg front and 10kg rears and if things really end up not feeling right I'll can change out springs later on. I took quite a few pictures throughout the project so prepare your interwebz.

I just purchased a set of Toyo Proxes T1R 195/45r15's and will hope they get here by at very least Friday so I can get them mounted up and then get my ride height fine tuned. It's pretty weird to hear the mud flaps scarping along everywhere, although the tires didn't hit the upper fender at all. I kinda like the sound of it in a way.
something about a slammed stock rimmed wagon that just looks damn good to me...lol
looking good man, but hope to see those rims on there soon enough with a killer stance...and nothing wrong with being surrounded by germans...mines parked next to my dads jetta wagon and my moms bmw 3 series haha

Ha ha...thanks man yeah I can't wait. I'm trying my best not to be impatient.
Yeah I'm back to bog down your internet again. Hopefully you guys don't get tired of pictures, cause I'm a very visual type of guy and that's part of how I communicate best. I know that I am not a good mechanic and that my build thread isn't super fancy with turbos and engine swaps and all that good stuffs, but I am trying my best to document what little things I can do in hopes that it will help others in the community. I have never worked on cars for crap, I am not a mechanic. But I've already done more to my wagon than any other car I've ever owned and I actually enjoy doing it (well sometimes). I've spent countless hours on HCW over the past month reading as much as possible, and am amazed at all the stuff I've learned. And although I know I am still in the lower percentile of knowledge when it comes to the mechanical minded people in here, but at least now I can hold a conversation about my car and not be completely clueless as to what's being talked about. Honestly I think it's weird that now when I'm at Home Depot I find myself wanting to go look/buy all the shiny tools that I never gave two shits about before. All of the tools I own fit into a small tackle box lol. But I'm finding you can do a lot with just a couple screw drivers and a few sockets. So anyways, thanks for putting up with a noob and I hope you at very least enjoy the pictures.
My new SPC rear camber kits arrived in the mail, and I'll put them on later this week when I mount my wheels/tires.
Still waiting on tires in the mail. I ordered them from onlinetires.com and called the next day to see about a tracking number and they told me the Toyo T1R's I ordered weren't even in stock. They said that they were expecting a shipment on the 15th of June, but weren't even sure if it would contain the size tires that I had ordered. They said I should just "sit tight and see on the 15th of June". Uh...yeah....funk that. I really don't like the fact that they will take your money and sell you tires that they don't even have and don't even know if they are getting in. He said there's a chance they may not ever get any more. I will probably not deal with those guys ever again due to how they dealt with my situation, and if you order tires from them in the future I would be sure to call and ask first if they have them in stock or not. Ended up buying a set from easy-tires.com, and am really hoping they arrive by this Friday, and the guys at my local Discount agreed that they would mount them up at $16/wheel for me.
Took a little 40 mile drive this afternoon to test out the new Godspeed coilovers, and am really liking the way they feel. Not too bouncy, and rides really smooth. It's been a while since I've driven a lowered car, so it does take a bit of getting used to again and of course I now have to be careful of speedbumps and weird tilting entrances/exits. The only other car that I've owned that was lowered was a VR6 Jetta that was on a set of $1800 H&R coilovers, and the ride was fantastic. This isn't as nice, but it is definitely daily driveable and feels solid. I am happy with my choice in buying these Type RS'. I really want to reroute my exhaust as that's the lowest thing on my car at the moment and would really help with some clearance. I'm not sure I'll keep it this low, I'm just having fun for a while till my tires get here. The car sat at an even 30" stock and I dropped it to under 26 3/4".....a drop of about 3 1/4". I only took out 1 of the 2 adjustable locking rings on my coilovers, so I could drop another quarter inch if I wanted to although I am pretty sure I won't. Especially without tending to the exhaust first, but even then I don't want to be so low that driving is a pain in the ass.

There is such a huge gap between the tire and the fender due to the skinny rims and negative camber...it looks so funny. I can't wait to get the new shoes on!!
On my drive today, I noticed light smoke starting to come up from under the hood and the heater quit working as well. I pulled over and looked under the hood and found a rubber tube that was leaking coolant pretty badly. I went to O'Reilly's and bought a new foot of hose for a buck twenty fine and slapped a piece in place. Heat started working again! I think it may have been dripping onto my starter as well, as I noticed it has been making a strange noise when starting the car.....almost like a short buzzing noise at the end. Since changing the tube it's gotten better, and I hope it will go away all together. I need to clean my engine bay again so I bought a big jug of degreaser and will tackle that soon. I think the gaskets in my engine might need replaced as well, as I saw some oil kinda splattered around down there as well and I know it was cleaned not that long ago.
Here's a shot of the rubber tube that I replaced, it was about 4" in length.
I didn't, I am not sure how the whole thing works and figured my car wouldn't be nice enough to compete for anything. Do I need to register to go? If so I'll get on that tonight. I just thought that it was for people with really nice rides who wanted to try and win prizes or something.
It doesn't need to be show quality its just like a meet except you have to register and pay $25 bucks to get in. Lol. But if you pay to get in we can all park the wagons next to each other and let people drool over them

Wish I could make it over. Too many weekends off this summer already.
Will register today. And I'll be sure to bring the camera and document things to avoid being cut off like Bobbitt. Shoot I might even get fancy and bring a flash.
Hey Ledler did you register as a Civic Sedan 5 door?
Thanks man, I will definitely keep them coming. Honestly I haven't really been shooting a lot over the past year because when you start doing something you love as a job, it can change the way you feel about it. It's been nice shooting something that I actually enjoy, and that I choose to shoot in the manner that I want. I'm glad that people are enjoying the imagery, and will keep it rollin like the ocean.
I just got my tracking number yesterday, and they won't be here be here till Monday. Would probably be able to get them on Saturday but UPS doesn't deliver on the weekends I guess? Lame. It's going to feel like a long weekend!
I went with Toyo Proxes T1R's in 195/45r15. They seem to stretch really nicely and look good in all the shots I see of them so I'm hoping they work out for the look I want. I was stoked to hear that I could get them installed here in town without having to drive to Covington, although I would have done it. Thanks again for that recommendation. Now get those wheels already!!
Ups/fedex kinda have the tendency to be really slow in shipping stuff around holidays. Can't wait to see the wheel choice!
Yeah I even called them this morning to see if I could possibly just drive out and pick them up from Redmond but they said no go. Thanks again for your help on things, removing the lower locking ring like you said gave me some extra drop room and luckily I didn't have to do anything crazy to the rear. I've heard of people taking out all 4 adjuster rings, but that just doesn't sound very safe to me to not have at least one locking ring for the perch....I dunno. Plus I really don't need to go any lower if I want to keep my muffler on my car. Gonna hit up a shop in town to see if I can get a quote on a reroute and/or go hit up my friend who can weld and see if he can help me.
Hope its enough stretch for you lol. Not for me. And ya Imma find out today
Don't get me nervous! I am really hoping they will fit and look like I hope they will. Not a super stretch, but a nice rounded transition from sidewall to tread. Worse comes to worse I bet I can sell them on CL like ledler as T1R's seem to kinda hard to find these days...people tell me they are discontinued? Here's a couple shots of some T1Rs on a 15x8 wheel and what I'm hoping mine will look like. Really love how the lip protection rim sticks out and helps to fill the lip poke that I'm not a huge fan of:
Looking forward to an update on your wheels, I'm excited to see what the new limit will be as you're always pushing it with those big ass wheels!
So I got some new toys in the mail on Friday and thought that I should keep up the tradition of shooting everything. One of the packages even came from Thailand. And now I want phad thai damn it. Yum.
My locking wheel nuts came in. Ended up going with black, which should look nice on the Shakotans and hopefully help to keep them on my car.
And my fender mirrors came in! I really only wanted the passengers side, but they came as a pair so I'll set the drivers side in the closet for now. I can't wait to get this thing mounted, I just need to figure out how to go about doing it. Not sure if I need to remove the whole fender, of if I can access it through the wheel well somehow. Gonna get out the Hanes today and see what I can see. I was inspired by old school Toyotas, but then when I saw the fender mirror on JesseCRX and dj alo's wagon I knew I wanted to do it so I set about searching for a set and ended up finding some on eBay.
I had an issue with one of my Godspeed Type RS coilovers. One of the little metal knob on the top that turns/clicks to adjust the damper wasn't clicking, but rather just screwing in and out, moving up and down like it was threaded. The others stay absolutely still (vertically) when turning, and of course they click. I am not sure if I am adjusting the damper when turning the knob but I don't think I am from a simple bounce on the bumper test. Called Godspeed and they said it was probably just the little knob that was the problem, and that they were going to send me out a new one. I am really hoping it's as easy as that, as I was pretty bummed to have an issue with a brand new product. Here's a cell picture of the knob I'm talking about with the rubber cover removed. The knob itself will actually pop up and out of the coilover, which I don't think is supposed to happen:/
I used my rack for the first time today! Worked out great, as you can see. The nice little wind chill keeps em cool on the drive home:)
And on that note......yesterday was a special day for us Washingtonians. To all my fellow WA residents and friends....I know you know what I'm talkin bout. POW!!!! Drunky Time!! Too my other fellow Americans....you could probably already buy your liquor in the grocery store so you wouldn't understand:) One time I even saw a drive through liquor store in Arizona....lol.......WTF. BTW don't hate on my vodka selection. Platinum (used to be Taaka) is actually decent, and that big ass bottle was only $14!!! That's a pretty cheap black out!
