Is your car converted to OBD1? A P05 ECU is a OBD1 ECU as far as I know. If that is the case I would look for an ECU from a D15B7, which is closer to the motor you are running. Or, you could do some kind of chipped ECU, P28, etc.
like i said in the last post, get a P06, it will run your Y7 fine
my Y7 runs fine on an OBD0 PM5 ecu running DPFI still....
make sure your o2 sensor is working and your IAT/ECT sensors are plugged in.
Y7 is a funny engine...they like to crap oil pumps when you're not looking(just like Y8's). I have a custom tune for a stock Y7 that gets 40-ish mpg highway, if you have the ability to burn a chip.
