Wagovanguy's BB6 Progression Thread

Well I don't actually own a wagon yet but I was reading the rules and it said I could post my other car so here is my other project I have been working on for a few years and will be working on for years to come. This car is my life but I just NEED to have a wagon now so parts are being put on hold for the prelude. Here she is, tell me what you think about her.

I haven't really messed with it but there isn't much room in the bay for the can yet. Good thing I was already going to delete my ac. I also haven't played with how the lines are going to run. This is going to be awesome when it's installed.

    Very nice Lude!
  • Thanks a lot guys!!!
  • Ok so here is what I'm doing car wise for the next year or so.

I'm buying a wagovan for a dd/ski/college/moving car but I'm only straying fro the prelude financially. The prelude needs a lot of stuff installed and needs to be prepped more for future plans including gutting it.

    * Prelude Summer To Do List
    o Remove Carpet
    o Remove Sound Deadener
    o Remove AC
o Remove Windshield Wiper Fluid and maybe wipers
    o Remove Fender Liners
    o Remove Unnecessary Wiring
o Remove a LOT moar than that LOL
    o Install Hoodpins
    o Install Window Visors
    o Install Battery Relocation
    o Lower it
    o Possibly Spacers

    * Wagovan (EE4/rt4wd, not technically a wagovan but whatever)
    o Stance
    + XXR 501 16x8 +15
    + Mild stretch
    + Camber Kit/LCA's
+ Godspeed Coilovers (turned all the way down)
    o Exterior
    + Yakima Roof Rack
+ Yakima Fatcat 4 Attachment (snowboard)
    + Yakima Highroller Attachment (bike)
    + Yakima Fairing
    + Yakima Loadmaster (luggage/shit)
+ Arctic Camo Paint or Vinyl
    + Bull bar
    + PIAA's
    o Interior
    + Stock
    + 2 12" subs
+ new deck w/ ipod control
    + new speakers all around
    o Engine/drivetrain
    + Stock

    My inspiration:

  • Very nice build!

Yet I am a bit confused because in the list you have an HKS SSQV as part of your engine parts, but no other turbo parts... Turbo in the near future?

and the blue wagon is clean! almost too low for my liking but it is nice! Keep up the good work!

As nice as your prelude came out I can't wait to see what your wagon will look like. I'm excited :)

    Thanks man.

Yeah the to do list is incomplete, I do have the intercooler and lovefab turbo mani listed though, everything else is still dependent on the route I take to boost. I am going to boost in a couple years when I can afford to do it exactly how you are supposed to for a race build to the T. The motor will be an H24-T when I'm done.

lol thanks man, I can't wait either. The prelude hasn't come out yet though, still a lot to do.

    Thanks. How much? lol
  • Here are some shots I took when I was reunited with my baby.

Car is dirty and won't start. I think something is draining the battery when it sits. I might install my new valvecover and might install my shiny JDM window visors but time is against me. Stupid dental appointments and having to go back to school.

Update: Installed my brand spanking new window visors today. It was annoying, I lost one of the plastic washers in the door somehow. But whatever, they look awesome.

Thanks man, I will be updating this with a bunch of little stuff in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!
  • Updated picture.

  • Just decided to update this, car has been sitting in my parents garage because I am in school across the state. Still waiting on me to start modding it again. Made a few decisions on where the build is going though. Those plans include a k swap, NA build, boost build, and a custom widebody. Then maybe the h22a4 in the car currently can find it's way into the wagon.

this had airbag in it previously right???

how were you able to get pass the SRS airbag system???
  • What do you mean? The srs light in the cluster was pulled because it is always on.

Check... well im just trying to figure out out to bypass the SRS airbag on the driverside (as the fit has side/seat airbags and passenger side airbags, i want those to still deploy if ever in a wreck, i believe just taking out the bulb would be the easy way around, but there is a way you bypass it so the system still recognizes or "thinks" the driverside aibag is there and the other bags will deploy if need be...
  • Gotcha, well I will be taking out the srs system entirely because this car is now a race build. And to add to that I will being using an aftermarket cluster. Possibly a race pack iq3 or the one the rd1. Depending on the ecu I go with once the build is underway.
  • Buying a turbo setup off a buddy for the lude. I should make 260whp with it. Mild setup but it's responsive. Comes with two maps, one being for an electric exhaust cutout.
  • Sold/selling the seats, harnesses, and harness bar. Going to be rocking stock seats and belts for a while.

    Here's the setup I'm buying.

    RB25 turbo w/ outlet adapter
    intake pipe w/ filter
    Spoolin Performance 2.5" downpipe
    2.5" raceland exhaust cutout
    Ported DRAG manifold
Tial 38mm wastegate with 3 different springs (up to 10psi)
    Wastegate dump tube
    RC 440cc injectors
    Oil feed and return lines
    Water lines
OBD2-OPBD1 conversion harness with dual map switch wired in
    Dyno-tuned chip
-Tuned with Neptune by Jei @ Blacktrax
    Intercooler

All I need is a bov, charge piping, and a socketed p28.

    Here's the dyno.

    312.jpg

It's a very responsive fun setup.

As for the interior, I'm buying a corbeau forza, 6 point harness, and having an autopower race rollbar welded in. The passenger only gets a stock seat and seatbelt, they have the oh shit handle so they will be fine.
  • Love the lude man, and the huggin monster seats BRIDE love them but not for daily driven .
  • ^ Thanks man. I love the seats but it's time to get serious about tracking this car. Plus nobody fit in them lol
  • psud3itypsud3ity New Wagonist
    This car looks VERRRRY familiar.

is this the preludepower invasion of HCW? Yes... I think so.
  • ^ lol

Now just waiting on getting the sparco bar and wedge brackets sold, which are pending, and in 5 weeks there will be some major spending on top of the big ticket item I'm already about to receive.

    Here's what's happening.

    Viperboy's turbo setup.

    RB25 turbo w/ outlet adapter
    intake pipe w/ filter
    Spoolin Performance 2.5" downpipe
    2.5" raceland exhaust cutout
    Ported DRAG manifold
Tial 38mm wastegate with 3 different springs (up to 10psi)
    Wastegate dump tube
RC 440cc injectors (saturated; no resistor box needed!)
    Oil feed and return lines
    Water lines
OBD2-OPBD1 conversion harness with dual map switch wired in
Dyno-tuned chip (put it in any chipped ECU)
-Tuned with Neptune by Jei @ Blacktrax
    Intercooler

Then once I get my first paycheck of the summer I will be buying the following.

    Tial BOV
    Cx Racing Charge Piping
    Socketed p28
    AEM Digital Boost Gauge
    AEM UEGO A/F Gauge
    Dual A-Pillar Gauge Pod

Then with the next couple of paychecks I will be replacing my interior I just sold off with the following.

    Autopower Race Rollbar
    Corbeau Forza 2 and Bracket
    G-Force 6 Point Harness.
    Stock Passenger Seat and Seatbelt.

This is just the stuff that costs money. I will also be doing the following.

Relocate the battery to the trunk
    Remove EGR
    Remove AC
    Remove Carpet
    Remove Sound Deadener
    Install Breather Setup
    Install PW:JDM VC Bolt Kit
    Install Carbon Spark Plug Cover
    Custom Faux Fog Lights
    Install Aerocatch Hood Pins
Swapping the glass sunroof for a black 4th gen sunroof
Paint the rear deck matte black (reflective as fuck on the back glass)
    Remove the trunk spring
Remove Wiper Fluid Reservoir (charge piping)
And some other stuff I can't recall at the moment including various tasks and parts I have stashed.

Should be a fun summer.
  • psud3itypsud3ity New Wagonist
    Awesome. Moar boosted ludes!

Just be careful as you'll need to have the car tuned again since you'll probably be changing the charge piping. Even changing the length or route of intercooler piping can affect alot as far as the tune goes.

Also, resist the urge to turn the boost up. Those turbos have a ceramic wheel that disintegrates at high boost. I'm sure it'll be plenty enough power for now though.
