its to far appart.
it broke off and theres some more cracks on some parts.
Have a search, there is a thread with pics of how someone strengthen theirs
now i just have to wait till i get me a part. after putting the new one back on. im keeping the broken one and re weld it and put more reinforcment to it.
1.take the fuse cover or shin cover.
2.take the metal plating that holds the fuse cover.
3.take the fuse box out.
4. un-bolt the steering wheel column.
5.un-bolth the pedal bracket.
6. unhook the brake pedals from the brake booster.
7. go under your hood and pull the brake booster out just enough to clear the pedal.
8. un hook the clutch cable and throtle cable under the hood.
9. pull the pedal bracket just enough to stretch the cables insie.
10 un hook the gas and clutch cables from the pedals.
11. do a dance. you did the hardest thing to fix in your wagon. lol.
i got me a 1990 CRX and a EF 4door brackets just in case. and i kept my wagon brackets and hopfuly re weld it soon.
i've broken 2. in 2 different spots. I used a CRX one for awhile, it worked, but pedals where slightly off where they should be. now i rock a super reinforced pedal box haha. i've also gone through 2 clutch cables. i'm thinking i've got a freak of a clutch that is uber stiff. i've had it for about 5 years and it's never slipped or acted up. i do a lot of hill starts too... alot.
A month later, I discovered the bracket on my '88 4WD was broken. The 4WD pedal bracket has been discontinued by Honda, so I had to pull out the old one and get it welded.
