Stops pulluing around 90MPH?

Alright, well I was racing a stupid pos ricer the other day, and the Wagon stopped pulling around 92ish MPH, but was only tached about 4,000RPMs. I know it could have easily pulled to 110, but it just wouldn't do it. I had it floored, and it never would pull. It didn't feel like it was shutting down like normal cars, just stopped pulling. I suppose it has a fuel govener on it. So my question is this: Is there a way to bypass this, and does anyone else have this problem?
Before you guys go all crazy on me, my car is safe to run at high speeds. Tires rated for over 139MPH, good brakes, safely lowered, and I never race if anyone's life is in danger, other than my own. We were also out in the middle of nowhere on a long straight.
I was told a OBD-0 to OBD-1 wiring harness swap would fix this, but I have a OBD-0 engine, so would that work?
Thanks

There's a reason people "go all crazy" when this is brought up.
You are simply wrong and the consequences are often at others expense.
We can tell you this but most have to learn it themselves.
I originally believed the same as you, but I was corrected at great personal expense.
1. A ticket +26mph over ticket ($500ish all said and done)
2. While driving "spiritedly" but reasonably on a curvy road, a driver coming the other way was not so reasonably. I had to make a correction to avoid contact mid corner and lost control. Totaled my beloved SE-R. Taking into consideration the difference in value from when I purchased the car and totaled it, the performance mods I added, and my deductible, the financial sting was to tune of $2600.
In retrospect, Im lucky someone else didn't have to pay for my stupidity.
To answer your actual problem
(1) the wagon is as aerodynamic as a brick. Large amounts of hp are required to overcome the resistance at 90+ mph.
(2) 108hp hardly meets the qualification of large hp.
While 90mph seems a tad low, I wouldn't be surprised if most people couldn't get their wagon over 110mph (without a ridiculous amount of straight or hill, or a serious boost of hp).
The usdm CRX/Civics did not have a speed limiter. They had a rpm rev limiter, so when you ran up to rev limiter in 5th gear, you were mph limited.
Or the car didn't make enough hp to overcome drag at 120+ mph. Like the HF...its geared to go 200+ mph without hitting the red line but the 62 hp can't push it past the low 100s.
Guess you missed the part that I was out in the middle of nowhere on a long straight.
I NEVER drive crazy if anyone's life is at danger. I agree, it is stupid to race and put other peoples lives in danger. BUT, when you can see for 4+ miles in front of you, and you get an egotistical ricer on your hands, you just gosta. (I suppose it's all part of being a 17 year old)
Now, I guess I'll have to wait till I get my swap before I can go fast.
1)Your Wgn is carrying a LOT of lead(AT,your woofers,& wood floor)
2)poorer gearing in your AT.
No...I saw it. It's still questionable judgement.
I can't make you see the light.
You're 17. While it may be a little hard to believe, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, but you're an idiot. We all were. In just a few years, you'll look back and realize I'm right.
now... i only speed when i'm behind an old lady with two hands white nuckle on the wheel. or when i am on highway 210. i live in the prairies and getting up to 90mph on a deserted road where you can almost see into next week it's so flat and boring. no trees, hills or anything. never when i have passangers or other people on the road.
my wagon:
MPFI - DPFI swap
intake
5 speed.
top speed WITH WIND: 105-109mph
top speed AGAINST WIND: 90-95mph
you may as well be driving a giant breadbox down the road.
Haha, no doubt. I do stupid things, I know I do. I'll get it out of my system eventually.
we all do stupid shit, no matter how old you are. i'm 18, another teenager. but just because im young doesnt mean im stupid, i'm just less experienced. we all make mistakes.......
Kahuna, one teen to another, just be careful when you drive. yes you can see clearly in front of you 4+ miles, but there are always other factors that are involved with accidents. ricers care be annoying, but be different and dont let them get to you when they try to start something with you. and another note, when you decide to race someone, dont mention it on the board. you've shit up a storm now :P
but you have to be careful, there are way to many stupid drivers out there...just ask my old hatchback
