I need more time in the day. I don't know when the next time I will be able to work on this. Schools starting soon and work is swamped. It's so close to being finished then I can do more fun stuff
Dohc zc in the rt4wd with all the bells and whistles. A little bit of power steering and air conditioning. Just need to get new belts. Having a little trouble with the ps belt but i will get it.
Cruise control is an older aftermarket setup. It was in the car when I bought it but didn't work and I fixed it. Not all that great but it's better than nothing. It's very tight in the bay, had to do a bit of shaving to the bracket to physically get the pump in there
Went out and seated the piston rings in the dohc zc today. It was nice to finally put it to the rug. It pulls a lot better than the mini me setup before but still leaves me beggin for more. I see some upgrades in the future. Thank god for the magnetic drain plug also. It collected some goodies durin my little adventure today. I would recommend a cheap magnetic plug to anyone breaking in a fresh rebuild.
Engine runs incredible. Car still needs a few little thing. Tires, u joints, trailing arm bushings, struts, and once I fix those things probably more stuff will break.
Very nice. I was gonna do a ZC swap in my wagon when I first got it but than I got the LS. I know it's not the same being that yours is a RT. Either way, nice build and keep up the good work.
thanks! i was driving about 4 months ago wagon turned off beat up spark plug and put a hole through piston just decided to get a dohc zc. i order it tomorrow hope its a good one
Had a little hiccup today. One of the little screws inside the distributor cap came loose and muffed up the rotor. Got it towed back to my shop and did a little investigating. Thought fuel pump right away but I heard that come on, so figured I would pull the distributor cap off. So new cap and rotor and it runs great.
Have had that happen to me more than once with Hondas.
I noticed the pizza lab sticker on your bumper - I used to frequent the pizza lab in the dead hills with my old man. We just sold our house in Lead, SD there a while back.
Put some new tires on the wagon. For the price couldn't pass these up, 185/75/14. So taller and skinnier should be better in the snow. Also replaced my trans fluid with some synthetic 10w40. Feels better, drives nice with the new tires. Next on the list is U joints, rear trailing arm bushing, rear diff mounts, and then probably a lift.
So ran into a little problem a while back. An asshole of a semi driver must not have seen me and I ended up smashing a curb. Wheel, tires, control arm, nuckle, subframe all needed replacing. Still need to find a fender, but it seemed to go together alright. Just need to find time to align it. Hope the unibody isn't mangled

That engine bay looks tight but original.
