Just picked up a 1990 RT4wd today from The_Head, thanks man I already love it and I've barely driven it.

Here is his build thread: viewtopic.php?t=7403" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And now here is the start to mine..

ORIGINAL PLAN:
238k miles on the clock and more to come
Plan to raise it about 1.5" to 2.5" but idk what set up to use
Paint the hood and some of the moldings that are faded
Fix AC and try to fix the aftermarket cruise control
Hook up the VTEC
Drive it everyday and get good gas milage and look classy

NEW PLAN:
Idk make it go fast and be tall.
Basically be a badass for cheap

  • Cool, man, nice buy!
  • wat do u guys recommend for good all seasons? cuz ive been sliding around in the snow
  • If you have lots of snow you need to get a dedicated set of snow tires. All seasons won't cut it in any kind of decent snow fall. Tirerack did a test with all season vs snow tires and there is a considerable difference. I have had all seasons once before and after a decent snow fall went with straight snow tires and there is a huge difference in the way they handle in the snow.

    Welcome to the club.
  • took a few pics the other day. it was getting dark and like -20 degrees so my camera died all i got is 2 pictures but here they are. havent done anything to it besides clean it up and do some general maintenance.

-20?! I'm complaining about +15 degrees haha. Car looks good though.
  • and guess wat its colder today and no where to plug my car into. shit this might be a problem.

anyways wat do u guys think about suspension? maybe 1.5"-2" lower for daily driven winter and summer, gonna be on rt4wd steelies. thinking about stock DA springs
  • wats the stock ecu? PM5? is it obd0 or obd1? im trying to figure some stuff out and its too cold to actually spend any extra time outside dinking with stuff
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
The stock ecu on the dpfi are PM5 and the mpfi are PM6, both are obd0. Just have to search and find out. All the information is on this site.
  • sweet i hit a pot hole today and now she pulls right real hard. i dont have a jack here either which sucks but just sticking my head in the wheel well i noticed it pushed my camber kit all the way to max out positive camber and it might have tweeked my UCA a little but i couldnt tell for sure. i dont think the rim is bent but if it is ill be pissed
  • I run General Altimax Arctics. They are are about 20-30% cheaper than blizzaks and do just as well (Ive owned both). Ive been running them on both of my cars in the winters for 3 seasons. Great winter tires.

wat do u guys think about these on my wagon with some 75 series 15in tires?

possibly getting some dc integra struts and springs with in the next couple weeks. hopefully giving here a couple inches of lift.

now supposedly its gonna be about 1.5" lift so it will give me some positive camber. on the car right now an ebay camber kit and at stock height they are pretty close to maxed out towards negative camber. will the stock uca give me more adjustment to move the ball joint in compared to the ebay kit? i know on my prelude stock uca give -3* and 3* with a camber kit u get -1* and 4*. dont quote me on the numbers but u get the picture

working out a deal with a guy for some 2000 teggy stock struts and springs. been looking at tires too cant decide if i wanna 14" or 15" wheels. wanting some light truck tires in either a 195/75/14 or a 205/75/15 somewhere around there

willing to trade my white rt4wd steelies for some 15" wheels

Purchased a roof rack today. Also found a guy with some 99 integra shocks and springs. I am waiting to see how DRMORTY's lift blocks turn out and see any camber issues before purchasing any suspension. will have pics as soon as rack comes in

so how did raising the wagon go?
  • ludemanludeman Wagonist
im still waiting. DRMORTY made blocks that he is testing sometime soon. I would rather do that than Integra srtuts and springs. Also I have to watch for camber issures
