I hadn't noticed this thread before. You beat all the guys trying to lift their RT's and put big tires on them to the punch. And didn't even tell us all how awesome you are while doing it...

I was considering doing the same thing but gas prices are scaring me away. How is the ride and fuel economy with the big tires on there?

ride is great. handling is awesome and dont have to worry about street tires blowing out in the desert. MPG is around 20-23

  • would you mind sharing more information about the steel spacers, how you went about making them etc. Would love to have more clearance.

    they are 1/4" steel spacers

ill get a pic of them and post it up
  • ^excellent! I would greatly appreciate it. I really want to lift mine but do not want the hassle of doing the integra/accord lift. If I could obtain the same thing with spacers it would be much better. Look forward to seeing pictures!

  • thank you very much. obviously a larger spacer would yield a larger lift, what are your thoughts on that? I know an alignment would be in order...

3/8 is good but the steering gets twitchy
1/2 great clearance but need to adjust camber and steering

1/4 is what is in the blue wagon now
