Is the thermostat on the top or bottom hose ?

does anyone know if the thermostat is on the top or bottom hose on a 1991 rt ? Autozone sais top hose, Hanes manual says bottom hose, but the engine looks different... Bleeder looks to be on top hose, but housing there doesent look right.. Were a bit confused,,.. Thanks for any help!

    Lower hose, which goes to the rear of the engine.

    I see from your other question that you figured that much out.
    The rubber gasket goes on/around the t-stat. If you'll look at the inner edge of the rubber you'll see that it's split. Kinda hard to explain, but before you install the stat the gasket should be on it.
