OK, here she is:
This is definitely the "before" picture because I won't be keeping the Hawaiian style seat covers and the exterior paint will probably change as well! The tires are going to change but I really like the retro rims and will be keeping them (but spiffing them up, as they're a little on the dingy side).
I have more pics on my computer at home, but this one I snapped today on the UBC campus. The sun was out and it seemed like a good time to take a picture for y'all.

You say you are going to paint it??? How come? The paint looks good to me, even if the color might not be your first choice.
Nice Car!
Actually I don't mind the color (hey, I've even named her for her color, right?) but am thinking of longevity, rust protection, etc. It appears as if some paint repair has happened in the past because the owner left a small bottle of touch-up paint in the glovebox, but I don't think it's happened anytime in the past five or so years. Also there are 3 dings, one to the front driver's side fender, one to the front bumper above the license plate, and one on the passenger side fender -- that last one's pretty tiny but noticeable.
If she gets repainted it will likely still be in the light blue range, although I'd rather have a pearl or metallic than the poly that's on there now -- I'm fond of the Sky Blue metallic that Hyundai is using on some of their 2006 and 2007 cars, and actually Honda has some nice blues too.

I'm slightly tempted by the brilliant blues out there too although I know it could get very pricey to go with such a radical color change! Toyota Echo has a nice brilliant blue, as does Mazda.
But, definitely first things first, and that means mechanical. Other than changing to winter tires and taking off the rust, I'm not interested in doing too much cosmetic just yet. (I'll probably even keep the seatcovers, as they serve to keep the upholstery clean.)
