Decisions, decisions.

So, my little red wagon is dying. Quarter panels and rockers are rusted through and covered with red duct tape. D16 is burning oil like crazy and smoking like a chimney. Exhaust bis leaking into the cabin area. Rear diff mount on the drivers side has rusted completely and is being held to the frame with a big ass u bolt through the floor. Driveshaft is off but I think it is okay but I have a spare one just in case I ever go back to rt4wd.

The 91 civic si hatch I had lined up to buy for $500 isn't working out due to the engine they had planned to put in it had issues. Should I have my shop rebuild my wagon's d16 and put it in the si or should I just look for another car all together? I would then sell my wagon for parts.

Thanks for reading!

    Thirded....
  • yeah, time to just get another and use that one for parts. It really sounds like a death trap!
  • get a new wagon
  • I'd get a new one as long as I don't get raped by the guys asking for your first born for a wagon almost as rusty as my own. I may have to get something else in the meantime... older subie impreza or an ef hatch perhaps, while I wait for the right wagon to pop up. Thanks guys!
