My girlfriend has a '91 DX wagon, 1.5L AT. Yesterday she left the oil cap off of the valve cover and proceeded to drive about 150 miles during the day. That motor didn't miss a beat. It wasn't even low on the dipstick! It sure did make a mess of the engine bay though. I added about a quart to get it back up to full and tried to clean up the mess the best I could. I was totally expecting that motor to be toast when I heard of what happened.
