Wago wont even try to start?

hello im a new wago owner and a new site member. i just went to vegas and bought a wagon and drove it home to ca. it drives very nice and had no problems. lights work and everything. later that night i found that the dash lights didnt work so i checked the fuses to see if that was it and sure enough their wasnt even on in that slot. so i jsut bought a fuse and fixed it. now it started and drove home and drove around 2 seperate times but when i drove it home again and parked it it stoped starting. it wouldnt even try. the lights sterio dash everything lights up norm, we tried to jump it but that doesnt work meaning its not the batery... any sugestions? i checked if it was the gas and put more in their cus it was indeed low. it didnt help. its 2wd 90 wagovan. thanks!

  • What happens when you turn the key? Nothing? Clicks? Groans but doesn't turn over? The symptoms can be very helpful in the diagnosis. Without further info it's tough to sort. I'd start by cleaning the battery terminals and the chassis ground connection. It's possible to get enough juice for the lights and not enough to start.

yea it makes a very light click u can baaarrrrly hear it, prity much nothing. sounds like its not even trying. i tryed to jump it (so i doubt its the battery) with 2 different cars at 2 different times... jsut incase the first one was bad some how magically. could it be a fuse or somehting being that i was dallying with them earlyer in the day?

When you turn the key forward, you should hear a click, then the fuel pump buzzing. If you don't hear the fuel pump, the main relay may be the problem. Its common for Honda's of this age.
  • I have seen bad batteries do some very odd things. I would try a new battery, if not then magic 8 ball says "Change your main relay".
