Chicks always say my 87 rt looks like a mini van and say its ugly. But they still ride in it so it must not be too bad. only girl iv found that liked it is into hondas as well.
My wife would feel really weird in the car because I was sporting the fishbowl look(zero tint). I mean you can literally see everything in the car, so there is zero privacy.
But at the same time I get nothing but thumbs up, smiles, nods and confused looks.
I know it's an oddball car, and that's why I love it. I get nearly the same reactions when I am sporting the crx.
My girfriend keeps telling me they are butt-ugly, and i shouldn't buy one. It's a relief to see that it's a common reaction, and hopefully she will come to like it eventually. To be honest, it wasn't exactly love at first sight for me either. But it grows on you.
My wife tries to drive it like her Plymouth Laser so we go into corners way to fast and the wagon leans. Scary but she likes the car. Any ideas on how to make it more lovable lets post ideas. I know if I can put heated seats and Cruise Control she will be vary happy.
There is a part of me that looks at the wagon and says..."Gosh that is one UGLY car" but i still took the time to build it, and turned down a couple people trying to buy it. I guess it being ugly and quirky makes me love it.
I'm excited to find a Wagon, and so is my girlfriend by the sound of it. she's very outdoorsy . perfect car that I can build. have roof for friends and family. and plenty of roof room for those kayaks and snowboards and all that she plans on using. plus if I find a 4wd. even better. I'm on the hunt.
Her mother and the people I work with think I'm losing my mind. But, it's about what you want in a car, not what others want you to drive.
My wife thinks it's too "boxy". At first she hated it. She says she doesn't mind it now but I think she's just tolerating it. After some time though, I think she'll come around. She just misses my CRX too much, lol. She loved that car.
my girl doesnt really like the wagon she thinks its for people that wana fix up a car but have kids lol.
she always tells me i shukld have stayed with my ef lol
My wife hadn't driven our wagon for a year plus. She came in the house afterward and said we needed something with airbags and ABS. That made me wonder what kind of driving she had been doing. "Honey, how did all that mud get on the roof???"
Nowadays wagons are for cool indy kids and overall fun people. I got the weird reaction when I said I wanted a wagon but all my friends and girl friend have seen the wagovan and love it!! Yay
Seems like more moms would like them ... I bought mine brand new in 1990 and it's been a great car for hauling kids, plenty of room for car seat, plenty of room for groceries, sports equipment, heck I've even hauled a bunch of lumber in it.
We even took our family of five on vacation to the Coast in it one year.
yea I got the same reaction from my wife. "that's the car you want" and even my mother was all "that car is ugly" lol but they don't see the potential. So I had to show them pictures of fixed ones.
i can't believe this.. my wife loves my rt. i made the mistake of saying i bought it for her... now she drives it all the time! ... maybe i should invest in another one...

She said hates the stock looking one. Loves Bam's, Pebbles and Hoss's one.
She said she will be OK with mine due to it is one color versus the rest of my cars.
Neighbor who is a woman calls it the mini me (has the same boxy look as our land rover discovery)
She said it is so ugly that it has actually almost done the full loop to cool.
she always tells me i shukld have stayed with my ef lol
So do the guys, but I show them the wagon attack video and they want one too

This (Grand)mom thoroughly approves.
