Will this IAT work on my Y8 IM swap?

I was gunna try to use this sensor becasue i want to weld a nut on my intake or maybe even drill and tap my Y8 mani to mount it on the back side of it. Are IAT sensors all the same i just dont want it tripping out when plugged into my car and give me incorrect readings. and yes i searched for this info everyone just drill a hole in there intake and half ass mounts it but i plan on boosting my car and this has gotta be tight. oh ya any idea on the kinda plug im gunna need? kinda looks like a headlight plug....

    Don't get that. You can use any Honda or Acura IAT. When removing one, use vice grips to break the screws loose before you put a screwdriver on it and strip it out.

    and use allen head screws to reinstall.

    theres no where on y8 IM's to mount and IAT.....

    Just poke a hole into the intake tube. Thats where the OEM location is on Y8's.

    i know i can do that but the minute i boost the car there gunna be a massive boost leak..... i dont want to do something ghetto like jb weld it..... someones has to have done something about this.....

    Just a thought: why not cut the whole mounting boss from a donor intake and weld it in the desired location? That way you have the OE o-ring step and screw locations nailed. You still only need to drill the one hole for the probe of the sensor, leaving plenty of 'meat' to weld to.

    yeah i thought about that. I had another member on here a few months back while buying parts from me at my house give me this idea and i realy like it. plans might have changed anyways i am looking at a sleeved z6 with a port match z6 IM so i will prolly just leave that mani on and run it. if i get it ill post some pix for sure. im gunna have some eagle rods, jg stg 2 turbo cam, and z6 head FS if i do end upp getting it. 400whp RT wagon in the werks!
