Best swap for 88 wagon

About two months ago I bought this wagon because i had to sell my WRX to pay for school. It is an ongoing project and my daily driver. (Luckily I work for a local repair shop) I was wondering what engine would be the quickest and easiest swap for the most power gain. I live in a college town so i would like to have more torque as well as horsepower but nothing crazy. any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

a gsr is out of a acura integra gsr there are 2 diffrent ones on is a b17 the other is a b18c5 i believe you want the c5. and check hmotorsonline.com for one or extremejdm.com they both sell complete change over's minus the mounts so you will have to get aftermarket swap mount, and modify the shift linkage

    C5 is Type-R.

NB: B18C5 is USDM Type-R. Not JDM or other domestic markets except maybe Canada? The Type-R motors do not have a digit on the end, they are simply labelled 'B18C'.
  • No B series swap into an EF is quick and easy.

Quick and easy would be a D16A6 or D16Z6. I would go for high comp pistons and a cam, followed by intake, intake manifold, header, exhaust. And of course engine management. You can go turbo, but with that much mess you might as well go B series.

In either case you'll have to convert to MPFI.

And if it was an RT you'd have even fewer options but at least you'd have the MPFI.

That's my asshole. I mean opinion.
