Just in case anyone else runs into the same issue, I had a very difficult time taking off the remaining melted rubber left from the insert. I decided to use easy off, it worked great. Just be careful I’d recommend using gloves and only leaving it on for maybe 30 seconds and then wiping. Definitely a good idea to rinse the entire mount with water. I would also recommend spraying some type of lubricant to ease the insert in.
Made a trip to the local Pickapart yesterday and came across a RSX Type S with front end damage. There was another person taking out the transmission when I arrived. He was gracious enough to let me have the motor after calling Debs on the harness, transmission, ECU, shift box and shift. The only catch was that the at the motor was missing the engine was missing cam caps and rocker arms. I’ll have to do some research but I am pretty sure there should be another motor that share the same assembly.
Hopefully have some time tomorrow I’m going to take it to the car wash spray it down with some oven off, should look like a totally different motor. Yes sir it’s a PRB!
I’ve been MIA for the last couple of years mainly because the wagon hasn’t needed or willingly received any modifications thankfully. The other reason is I was mainly focusing on my hatch. Lots has changed on the hatch. Three piece front end, 10 point rollcage, Kirkey seats, rywire Harness, Weld Skinnies, about four broken fourth gears lol.

Thank you, there’s been a lot of trial and error and broken parts... fourth gear tends to not like full boost
