Pain in my BUMPERS

Im trying to sand down my front and rear bumper from all of the road rash, chips, and scratches but its a real pain to get them to a clean smooth surface. The material is like rubber and when using a sander or sand paper the surface heats up from the friction and just clogs the sand paper.

I really love the painted bumper look and want to do a real clean job on them so I wouldn't regret it later.

Getting new bumpers... Would be nice but where and how much is the question, or is really worth getting new once. Any other suggestions on how to prep the bumpers.

  • I would use filler, then paint them with duplicolor trim and bumper paint

I used 320 or 400 grit on mine.there were some scratches on my mine.i have to admit it looks way better than it did.just don't sand the hell out of it.i also used the same bumper paint on mine.i than used trim paint for my front filler.
