Violent shaking when i drive

1st problem- so everytime I hit about 45 mph my car shakes so bad I can't even see thru the rearview mirror, so I raised the car back up to stock height and balanced the tires, still shakes but not nearly as bad, but there was considerable play with rack and pinion when we checked.

2nd problem- I hear a knocking under the wheel well everytime I go over dip or curb, when car was lifted I saw previous owner had ebay camber kit installed, possible problem?

    Well the knocking sound on mine is actually the camber adustment bushing being worn out.
