Which underdash harness 2use 91 civic wagon auto to 5 speed

Hello, I just purchased a 91 Civic auto wagon last night. I got it for $350 with a blown motor. I am looking to do a auto to 5 speed conversion. I am well aware that many have done this conversion by cutting wires. However i am looking to replace the whole underdash harness and engine harness with a multi point complete harness. I have alot of time on my hands so dont mind the amount of work that will be involved. I Have done many motor swaps so I do have air tools and experience. My question is what underdash harness would be the best to use for my situation. Can someone tell me the right car year and model that would be best for my situation. My goal is make my car look like it came straight from the factory and to do this the right way the first time.

I would guess that any manual wagon with MPFI would do the trick. Id imagine that finding a donor car with underdash and engine harness would be your best bet for complete change over.
  • OK I did not know wagons came with MPFI
  • can anyone verify that there are muti point wagons?

The D16A6 in the RT4WD is an OBD-0 MPFI.

would this harness be the same as a 5 speed?

Well they have two options, auto and 6 speed. So Im not 100% sure about that. If in doubt you can pull an Si harness from a hatch, but I don't know about the compatibility to the wagon harness. I know both versions use the same motor (D16A6) and ECU (PM6), but I also know the dashes are a little different, so Im not sure if the harnesses are as well.

    thats great info thank you.
  • I believe it would be best for me to get a 90-91 SI harness because there is a difference in 88-89 harnesses. Great info guys.
