the EF spoiler doesnt seem like a bad idea...but when i looked at it on SiWagon's, it seemed a bit shorter, like it wasnt wide enough or something. but the way he put it on there, it was barely noticeable.
has anyone ever tried to take that chunk off on the back of the wagon?
The 96-00 hatch Spoon Sports duckbill fits on the hatch almost perfectly. You have to leave the Black plastic wagon "spoiler", and drill the holes through that to mount the duckbill.
Ive had my black plastic piece off before, and it isn't pretty at all. If you left it off, you would have to bondo/weld the holes closed or else water would go straight into your car when it rained.
funny this was mentioned but I started takin mine apart this week. I fitted it up to the wagon but it will need to be modified. I had someone help me fit it up & it looks like it may work.
To answer mrwagovan ???Like 95gainfla mentioned...How do you cover the OEM spoiler mounting holes? You probably could flush mount it,but would require a lot of work. You'll need to cut out the spoiler mounting studs(too high) and most likely the under skin so you can epoxy the spoiler to the OEM spoiler. My Bi-Wing bolts to the hatch. The arc (widthwise)of the 2 spoilers maybe a slightly different. The front edge of the HB spoiler is 3mm wider on each side and the bottom edge is 1/2"(12.5mm) wider on each side.
Even if you flush mount it,it'll still have the overhang on the edge b/c of the plastic piece (underneath).Though it's wider it still looks Great. You'll also need to trim both edges to the contour of the body.
BELOW: This was 1 of my earlier test piece:Looks pretty good.
BELOW: Notice OEM 3rd brake light was removed for much cleaner look.
