Hellllllo wagoneeers.
my name is chase, I've been lurkin' this forum for awhile now, did'nt want to join till I at least had a wagon. I picked up my wagon February this year, it needed some work. Now that I've done the necessary work now I want to show it off! Hope you enjoy it, constructive criticism is helpful.
Before I bought the wagon, it was blue, the previous owner painted it black. I want to eventually paint it back to this color. The engine bay is still blue and it drives me nuts.
So he painted it black and some months later I bought it w/ 120k original miles. February 2010
Cleaned it up and a small photoshoot at the mini ramp in February ( gotta love skating in 20 and below weather in wisconsin haha)
I wanted to paint the wheels. so i proceeded to do this, but one of the lug nuts was seized on the stud, drilled it out and replaced the studs (dont have any pictures of them).. then a week later painted the wheels blue. And painted the valve cover and cleaned up the bay.
So finally, I got my stock suspension (courtesy of doitdub aka justin). I got rid of the slammed suspension because i am using this car for work, and it's hard to load up the back with tools and stuff when its slammed haha. Installed, but then I found that my ball joints were bad, so i decided to go ahead and do my axles and ball joints. So after getting the wrong axles, i finally got the right ones and put them in. This is how the car currently sits.
thanks for looking, ill get some better pictures with the stock suspension and stuff!
The prelude on the left is my ongoing project & first car.

couple of things: Just bought a 89 crx si steeringwheel & some ebay amber corners should be here anyday, and will be doing the brakes next week :-)
New brakes, brembo blanks with no name ceramics. Got the pair on ebay for 50$!!
It's that time of the year, snow tires on.
recovered my headliner
this cupholder was a bondo mess. now it at least looks a lot better.
eligh giving me a hand.
and got me a crx si steering wheel.
thats it for the wagon
And my prelude, it sat all summer unfortunately, and the paint got a little oxidized. So this is it after 3 claybar's and 2 coats of wax. Hood needs a new clearcoat but this is a start.
Ac and powersteering still work!
Removed the cruise control and re routed some of the wiring. full tuck coming next summer!
I put some "hella" fog lights and bolted them to the bumper, i know, not the best way to do it but the bumper has already had plenty of holes drilled in it. Whats the hurt in 2 more? The ignition switch also went bad on me so I picked up one of those, actually fixed my voodoo blower motor problems i was having.
i also got an ebay intake on the way.
And of course the midwest got hit with a hell of a blizzard on feb 2nd. Here's what I come out to in the morning.
I decided to take a look at my radio harness as sometimes it does not work, well. This is what it looked like before.
And cleaned up and shrink wrapped.
I dont have pics of this but I also fixed my fan switch. It would only blow on speeds 1 and 2 when it was cold, once it warmed up then 3 would work but still no 4. So I took the switch apart and cleaned the contacts, and presto all 4 speeds work again.
Tell me u just jumped in and drove out ...
Im sorry! if i wasted your time, i dont have a build thread for it on PP or any forum for that matter. Ive been holding off till this summer because the car is going into surgery, all motor build, and tuck etc. That is if i get a house with a garage by then. Lemme see a pic of your lude!
MMM gotta love inspiration to paint my wagon black! (with a few changes of course)
Thanks! i appreciate the good words
Got my ebay intake, not really sure how i feel about it right now. It was chrome, 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of semi gloss black took care of that. I also replaced my exhaust from header back. It sounds so quiet, i really like it.
pulled it thru the bottom, using the 2 skateboard method.
dirty bay
after some cleaning, but will be rust proofing later
hope you all enjoyed, will be having updates more often.
