Short shifter?

well I jumped the gun and bought a short shifter and bushings. also in the mail was my factory service manual. so as I get ready to install everything and look in the book, damn thing is cable. anyone have an idea as to who makes a short shifter? or is there even one available? any help is appreciated.

    I've got about 1,000 miles on it so far. It puts the shifter about 4" from gear to gear (1st to 2nd, 3rd to 4th). If someone could measure what stock is, we could have an accurate comparison. It works great for me, moves the shifter up a little closer to the steering wheel. However, I have not yet tried to install the shifter console over top of it.
