Lifting the wagon?

I installed the front coils on from a 89 legend on the rear of the wagon. Works great. With a full load of stuff the rear doesn't bottom out. Rides nice too.

I don't have any ideas for the front though... Any ideas to get about 1" lift? Springs? coil overs? welding?

  • here's what i would try:

    1. remove front spring and shock assembly. dissasemble.
    2. press studs out of "hat" that spring rides in/shock bolts to.
    3. tack weld longer bolts in place of the studs.
    4. cut a 1" shim out of aluminum stock that fits on top of the hat, mimicing the hat's upper mounting surface.
    5. reinstall, have car aligned immediately (nasty positive camber and negative toe, most likely).

ask red civic standard. I believe he used 2000 si springs to jack the car up also.
  • 2000 Civic Si front and rear springs on Tokiko blue struts gave me a .75-1" lift on all four corners. With 205/60/15 tires I have almost the same ground clearance as a 98 CRV.
  • use all DC teg suspension
    serious lift
