Can u convert an 89 auto awd civic wagon to 2wd?

Hi there wagon owners :D
i have a question. so my auto tranny just went out on my 89 awd civic wagon....
:( and i just bought a 2wd auto tranny becasue its hard to find the awd tranny on good conditions. SO my question is can you convert it with no problems? I also bought the auto shifter linkage and a 2wd anxle. was wondering if i need to do anything else or can it be done?? any thing would help just need my wagon ruinning. till i find another auto awd tranny...

    im not to 100% sure on this im new to the wagon also. i have the same ee4 you do. auto 4wd.
    i am pretty sure the 2wd tranny will bolt right up but you wont have 4wd anymore.

    i have a 4wd tranny that i might be getting rid of within the month. but if i dont i would like to buy your driveshaft only.

    i was shared this info ...
    ....I know there's someone here that will not agree with me, but I know for a fact that:

    FWD manual
    FWD auto
    RT4WD auto

    all have the same mount welded to the passenger side frame rail just above the transmission.

    RT4WD manual is the unique one.

    so im pretty sure a fwd tranny will bolt right in. get the tranny from a crx si which is this same motor as your d16a6
