Rear LSD for my RT4wd

Hey!

I read somwhere that there is a rear LSD in some Shuttles (Wagons).
Are these interchangeable? I dont`t have it on mine, but I would really like to hav one!
I can`t get into the sections where "want to buy" is, so I hope you guys can help me.

Are there any used ones to get hold of? And what price do they go for?

Appriciate all help.

Greetings from Norway!

What is the current style of rear differential in your car? Is your car "Intrac" or not? If not, you can install a regular Civic FWD LSD (OBX, Quaife, etc...) with some minor modifications into the non-Intrac wagon rear diff. If it is Intrac, there are some OEM LSD equipped Intrac cars, but there are currently none in the classifieds.
  • No, my car is not an Intrac model.

So you mean that I can install a front lsd from a 2wd in my diff? Is it really enough space there?

I am currently running my RWD wagon with an OBX LSD from a 92-00 Civic D series transmission in the OEM RT4WD rear diff housing. If you go looking for the thread about RWD Wagon (search under my user name), you will find the details about this.
  • Can this be done without further mods? Just bolt on?
  • only if you get a hold of an intrac 4wd set up, but i've only seen one of those for sale in 2 years. what jaker said about modding is probly the best way to do it.

What further mods are you talking about? You need to modify the LSD itself. It will not bolt in in the FWD configuration. Other than that and re-shimming the diff bearings and ring and pinion (something you should do every time you change a diff anyways), there are no further modifications required.
